Huron: A Novel

When evolutionary biologists Roberta and Victor relocate to a cosy hamlet in rural america, it's not long before the neighbours begin knocking on their door with invitations to join into community life. What starts out as a seemingly benign interest in their affairs gradually turns sinister. As the somewhat too friendly pillars of the community press for conformation, Roberta and Victor's initial annoyance turns into genuine fear. With nothing to guide them except their own intuitions, they trust their lot to the local Catholic priest and an eccentric nun, and cross their fingers that they'll escape their nightmare. Grigat keeps the reader spellbound in this tale of intrigue, human nature and resilience. This well crafted black comedy will have readers shouting for more.
