The ABC's of African American Inventions

This children's ABC picture book features drawings of inventions by African Americans, along with details of the invention, who the inventor was, the date, and the United States Patent number, as well as additional inventions for that particular letter.

Perfect for Black History Month. A child who's just learning their ABC's probably won't understand the inventions being depicted, but they'll enjoy the drawings, and the older child, adult, or teacher reading the book, or using it to teach a child the alphabet, will gain new insights into some of the contributions made to the world by African Americans.

In the back of the book there are several blank pages in which children can draw their own ideas and inventions, which will encourage and inspire them to think beyond just what they see, to things they imagine in their minds that don't yet exist. Years later, they or perhaps their own children, will marvel at what they created when they were young.
