Description

No doubt, the World Wide Web can be a good thing. It can entertain, inform (sometimes correctly!), even offer intellectual fodder for hungry brains. It can provide a good belly laugh, as well, or elicit a heartfelt “Aww.”
Unfortunately, the Internet can also ensnare the vulnerable among us with time wasters, offensive offerings, untruths and potential ego busters -- i.e. the quiz “What Animal are You?” and the answer this cyberspace surfer received: “Beaver.”
Thus, the title of my short 3,051-word humorous essay, You are a Beaver, and other disturbing consequences of surfing the World Wide Web, where I lay bare the underbelly of uncontrolled cruises down the information highway.
