Playing Outside with Penguins is the sixth book in the Playing Outside series, which was inspired by C.D. Shelton's 6 year old grandniece, Adriana who has a vivid imagination (i.e. that anything is possible, even kangaroos in the desert).

In this adventure, Adriana visits Sea World with her parents and after her visit she dreams about talking Penguins in Antarctica. She learns how chicks find their parents. How Penguins hatch their eggs. And learns the hazards of being a penguin.
