During the early part of AD 62, legend tells of the appearance of Bar-bar Stinks. They called him Bar-bar, because of his drinking, because of his sheep-like brain but mainly because of his really annoying, whining voice. Keith, leader of SORE, the 26th biggest rebel group in Kent, must face his greatest challenge yet- not strangling Bar-bar who everyone hates on sight and grows to hate even more when they hear him speak. There is also romance in the air as Horace, Keith's Second-in-Command, finds the love of his life. Well, after pies anyway.
Meanwhile Paulinus, Governor of the Southern states of Britannia, believes he is being hounded by the ghost of his dead wife, Flavia, who was eaten by a tiger, partly under his direction. It’s like they say, what goes around comes around, appears as a ghost and bites you in the bottom.
