Description

This ebook—Blood Glucose Levels and Diabetes Control—contains basic information that’s important for everyone who has diabetes or prediabetes. It will also help you understand other diabetes books you might read.
Whether you have diabetes or prediabetes, your blood glucose (sugar) levels are your essential link to better health. Keeping track of changes in your blood glucose levels will tell you if things are going nicely, or if you need to change something—your activity level, food intake, or any medication you’re taking—things we’ll discuss in depth in other publications. The more you understand about your blood glucose levels, the easier it will be for you to control your diabetes.
In short, this book gives you the background to know what’s happening in your body, so you can follow your doctor’s instructions. Your doctor will guide you, and we’ll help by giving you the information you need to help avoid the complications of high blood glucose levels.
