Description

In this essay (2,331 words) I investigate the concepts that underlie and govern the form and execution of Shotokan karate. I examine and explain similarities between Shotokan and Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, ultimately concluding that Shotokan is no more of a style and no less of a concept than Lee’s JKD.
