Death is commonplace in Victorian England. For Charles Attwood, an American photographer living in London, it is also part of his work, for he photographs the recently deceased. Mr Jonathon Chambers, a wealthy solicitor, is Attwood's latest client. His teenage daughter, Emily, has died from illness during the night and he wishes for one final image of her to be taken.
An image that will make his beloved daughter appear alive once more.
Soon after, Attwood begins to experience strange and frightening visitations during the night, visitations that make him question whether Emily's death was indeed due to natural causes or something far more sinister...
