The family Dumond live on the edge of a forest. They are a farming family, governed with discipline by their patriarch Roberte. The eldest son Henri, lives to serve his Father's will; one night they have a visitor that takes them into the depths of the forest. This is a tale of the utility of filial love and of dark contracts negotiated between men and powers they don't understand.
