LOUISE PEETE: KILLER
Louise Peete was a twice convicted murderess, in the early part of the 20th century. She was married four times and each of her husband’s committed suicide. From an early age she developed a love for expensive jewelry and the finer things in life and she was determined to have them at any cost.
She was jailed for 18 years for murder, but was granted parole only to kill again and was sentenced to death. Louise was the second woman to be executed in California’s gas chamber.
To the end she maintained her innocence in both murders.
