Preppers have been cast in a negative light in the past few years. They have become thought of as crazy hoarders who are collecting weapons and thousands of cans of spam in their basement waiting for the end of the world.

There are many reasons to prep that have nothing to do with the end of the world. Many people prep in case they lose their job or a storm hit knocking out utilities for weeks.
