LAURIE DANN: RAMPAGE KILLER
MAD ENOUGH TO MURDER
On May 20, 1988, a young woman rampaged through Chicago's northern affluent suburb of Winnetka, depositing poisoned food and drink at a few homes, starting a fire that nearly killed a mother and two children, and spraying an elementary school classroom with gunfire, causing the death of one child and injuring several others. After holing up in a nearby house and shooting one more person, she committed suicide.
A truly tragic story of a young woman in desperate need of help.
