Description

As she unloads her rental truck in the parking lot of her new home in Seattle,
newcomer Molly Bennet spots one of her new neighbors, a great looking guy in
a white convertible. We'll be friends, she thinks, but his response isn't
friendly--she's in his parking space and he wants it! Molly is angry in return
until she learns why Kevin Corwin needs the ramp. He soon becomes her
friend, a very good friend, not supportive of her work in a shelter for abused
women, but otherwise so helpful, kind, and caring--when he isn't angry--that
she doesn't need any other friends. Kevin appears to be a dream come true, but
as Molly learns about abuse and domestic violence, she begins to wonder. Is she
seeing his true face, or is he something other than he appears to be?

Readers of Goldie Gendler Silverman's novel, SHOW ME YOUR FACE, will
be educated on two topics: how a disabled person adapts to his injury to live a
full life, and how women in abusive relationships work to change their
situations. Paraplegia and domestic violence--you don't often see them in the
same work, but SHOW ME YOUR FACE is also a fast paced, exciting love
story that takes place in beautiful Seattle over four months in 1983.Â
