Allison Thompson was all too familiar with being on her own. When Neal Schwartz came waltzing into her world showing her some much needed attention, that aloneness she always felt was leaving her for good. It wasn’t until Neal left her pretty close to deaths door that Ali was swept up by a real hero.
Jake Canyon is a professional lifeguard, firefighter, and all around good guy. When he comes across Ali he instantly recognizes her from the beach. She was watching him just as much as he was watching her. When his fire crew gets called out to step in and save her from her ex, it’s all the motivation he needs. Although when her ex leaves her heart stoppingly close to death Jake decides he’s had enough. He wants to be wherever she is. He lost her once. It won’t happen again.
