This book is aimed at people who want to learn about the potential of DCA in cancer therapy, but who lack professional knowledge in the field of medical research. This is probably true for most cancer patients and their families, who, in general, have neither the knowledge nor – in the phase of recovering from the shock after diagnosis – the time and critical distance to deal with the matter. Too many fears have to be faced immediately, too many pressing practical questions have to be answered immediately.
However, a basic understanding of the disease is a prerequisite for targeted communication of the patient on a par with attending physicians, and for active participation in the treatment and management of their consequences.
