During the Ottoman invasions in April of 1463 in the village called Thermi, on the island of Lesvos, Greece, an innocent twelve year old girl called Irene, a deacon known as Nicholas and the abbot Raphael were horribly tortured and brutally murdered As many others who were Christians at the time they endured every torture afflicted upon them and even death for the love of Christ
