NOTE: This Question and Answer Interview essay was originally written for the Series titled “On Being Homeless†The series started in April 2007 and spanned more then 30 chapbooks written between 2007 and 2012. This particular instalment was originally written May 9, 2011 for the 5th anniversary of the flood which occurred on May 9, 2006 and was the second event to make me homeless (after being made homeless the first time when a neighbor drove a backhoe over my house July 4, 2001, before the bomb which made me homeless a 3rd time by a grease fryer bomb October 18, 2006, being made homeless a 4th time April 2007 by a neighbor driving a backhoe over my house, being made homeless a 5th time by the same neighbor driving a backhoe over another house August 9, 2013, and being made homeless a 6th time by the same neighbor pumping hundreds of gallons of sewage into my motorhome April 10, 2015 .) It is reprinted here with permission.
The original 2007 edition was only 12,000 words long and 40 pages; this new 2015 edition has been updated and expanded, and is now 200+ pages long.
