I said that a barber had multiple functions long time ago and that his personality did not affect at all. Whoever would do the job had to shave, cut the hair, pull out teeth and bleed, and as a last function he would be a teacher. Let’s remember that by that time few people would fix their own beards, there were no dentists, and surgeons would disdain bleeding surgeries and pull out teeth. It became necessary to prepare the barbers, since they became the essential characters in a half way organized city.
