The Birthday Party: A Novelette

International black ops agent Adam Flynn uses his Bethesda accounting office as a cover. He is now involved in a domestic matter⎯ tracking two outlaw bikers who blew up the truck of a rival gang in an explosion that killed a boy passing on the sidewalk. Adam needs to find these bikers in time to be home in five days for his son’s thirteenth birthday. He snatches the bikers, interrogates them at two different black sites, and while in his Gulfstream on the way back to Bethesda he reflects on what he did to the bikers who were responsible for taking the boy’s life, and why this boy’s life was personal to Adam . . .
