How do I know? Well, after living here for about 6 years I decided that I really needed to learn the language, so I did it! What I learned is that by becoming fluent in the language where I live, it improved my life drastically. It was like night and day, the difference of living here without being able to speak the language, and how it was once I started learning how to speak and understand the local language.
