Michael Ende, in his boyhood, lived under the Nazi dictatorship of Hitler.
His father Edgar Ende was persecuted as a “degenerate artist”.
To Michael, at the age of 14, came a draft card from military. But he has arrowly
escaped from it.
Under the dictatorial regime of Hitler, they suffered.
But, he doesn’t much mention Hitler.
However,
reading “The Neverending Story”, we can see something about it.
