Acres of Diamonds is a lecture that Russell Conwell, founder of Temple University, delivered more than 6,000 times at cities and towns across the country. Conwell (1843-1925) was a lawyer, Baptist minister, decorated Civil War officer, and the founder of Temple University.

Many consider Acres of Diamonds to be one of the greatest speeches in American history. Its lessons of opportunity, work, success and true riches have inspired millions.
