This is story of Andrew Jackson and his moments in history. Sort of. Join Jackson and his merry crew of cohorts while they do things and stuff that totally happened in real life. While Jackson blusters through history, enjoy insightful commentary from the ubiquitous narrator and other fourth wall shattering elements. Symptoms of reading this production include (but are not limited to): shock, hunger, dysentery (or other explosive forms of diarrhea), heresy, and even chronic death disease infection.
Old Hickory has inspirational characters such as: John Quincy Adams (JQ Money), Eleanor Rigby, a history professor, woman 2, and Morgan Freeman!
Ok, I lied about Morgan Freeman, but that other stuff is true. Kind of.
If this seems like a terrible idea for a play, then you are entirely right, and you should read it. Especially if you want dysentery.
