When Rachel travels to the ocean in Destin, Florida, to get away alone with God from everyone and everything to think about her life--her troubled marriage to Jackson, their unhappy daughter Faith, the strained relationship with her stepdaughter Autumn, and Rachel's chaotic writing career--she was seeking answers. At the beach, Rachel is praying about whether to divorce her husband Jackson or not. Their marriage is causing Faith pain and is breaking Rachel's heart. Rachel feels like she just needs a quiet place to rest and write. Although she knew that it was hurricane season in Florida, Rachel thinks she's going to be okay. She doesn't know about the dangerous hurricane that is brewing. Will her beach house stand? Is she going to die? Rachel's faith in Christ will be tested.
