Red Bird Phoenix: One Woman's Story of Breaking the Cycle of Matriachal and Family Sexual Abuse and Violence

Red Bird Phoenix is a book about my journey as a child in the hopeless despair of sexual abuse, torture, rape, beatings, and starvation by my parents, my brother and other family members. Incest in my family has existed for at least five generations. This book is an expose of family members who have raped and abused me and others. I name my abusers – let them face the consequences of their choices. The violence is real; the daily horror and torture still linger in my memory.
