Lady Fortuna

Lady Fortuna is a collection of three nonfiction short stories and a bonus chapter from My Paradise Lost, all written by Brian W Allen. The first, Jungle Joyride is about a delinquent misadventure by a bored teenager on a dark tropical night. The second, The Essential ABCs, is the experience of a young man fighting death as a member of a Code Blue team. The Third, The Bequest, follows a son as he fulfills the last wishes of his mother and father. There is a bonus story, Coco Solo Coconut, the first chapter of My Paradise Lost, Misadventures to manhood in the Panama Canal Zone. It is the introduction of a boy to his new life in the unique environs of the Panama Canal Zone. Each short story was selected for publication by Washburn University’s literary journal, INSCAPE Magazine. INSCAPE submissions are blind judged by English majors and the best are published.
