This volume contains, for the first time together, the complete DAVID BLAIZE trilogy by E.F.Benson, the author of the amazing Mapp and Lucia series and the Dodo Trilogy. The Blaize books were very well received in a time were "boys" novels were a trend.

David Blaize is a novel of school life, set in England before the First World War. It describes David's years at prep school and public school, his studies, sports and friendships, and finally, his brush with death when he stops a runaway horse.

David of King's (published in the USA as David Blaize of King's) is his enjoyable sequel to David Blaize. The book deals with the story of David's Blaize's three years as an undergraduate at King's College, Cambridge.

Finally, the trilogy includes David Blaize and the Blue Door, set in David's early childhood. It is different to his other books, as it is written as a fantasy in the style of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, set in a dream landscape permeated with nonsense. It can be read independently to the other books, although we recognize our beloved character David Blaze.
