The meat of the chicken, also called yard bird is a type of poultry meat. Because of its relatively low cost, chicken is one of the most used meats in the world. Nearly all parts of the bird can be used for food, and the meat can be cooked in many different ways. Popular chicken dishes include roasted chicken, fried chicken, chicken soup, Buffalo wings, butter chicken, and chicken rice.
Poultry is the second most widely eaten type of meat globally and, along with eggs, provides nutritionally beneficial food containing high-quality protein accompanied by a low proportion of fat. All poultry meat should be properly handled and sufficiently cooked in order to reduce the risk of food poisoning.
To lighten up these recipes, I did what comes naturally. I simply switched to reduced-fat ingredients and used healthier cooking techniques. These techniques lowered the fat, calories and cholesterol levels for the dishes in this book.
For this cook book I only used the chicken breast because it’s America’s favorite part of its favorite bird. So everyone I hope and pray you enjoy this Yard Bird cook book!!
