Shifting Paradigms in Multiple Myeloma: Future Insights to Practice: An accredited e-Monograph

While multiple myeloma (MM) remains incurable, survival benefits afforded by new therapeutic and management strategies are leading to a significant present day paradigm shift of consideration of MM as a chronic disease to be managed, rather than an inevitably fatal cancer. This e-monograph brings world-leading myeloma experts together to discuss some of the most talked about and anticipated issues in myeloma today, including current and future practice for patients with smoldering myeloma, the impact of new IMWG diagnostic criteria for smoldering and active myeloma, how these changes affect today’s practice, and where further refinements may be made in the future. Through case-based presentations, faculty will demonstrate best practice for selecting strategies for newly diagnosed myeloma patients, including the impact of new emerging treatment options such as all oral proteasome inhibitor-based regimens.
