Time was when Gus and Billy couldn’t stand the sight of each other. As they grew older things slowly changed. Billy began to realise which one of them was the football and only to kick the ball. Their favourite pastime was the discussions under the Conker tree at lunch time. Billy was referred to as mad because he would do almost anything for a bet and sometimes a lot more without one. He could tell a good story, though most of his stuff was just made up. Anyway the day arrived when he produced a crumpled up picture of Gloria, his true love, as he always called her. It all took off from there literally. During their travels they take Grandad back to his old airbase during the war and meet him and his friends when they were just teenagers themselves. The return journey on the other hand led them off course and landed them in - - - - - -
The first book was about them in their younger days: - Gus and Millie - Into the Future.
This book covers their later years as they progress: - Gus and Mad Billy - The Sound of Silence.
Either book is stand alone and can be read separately from the other as an independent story. With only a slight crossover. They are not book one and book two.
