One of the firefighters has to tell Penny that the house has been saved but it's damaged.
The rest of the news isn't good. Penny takes out her frustrations on the firefighter, Cole
Landsdowne.
Pastor Jack Merganser of the Wallowa Bible Church is an old friend of Penny's family and
tried to counsel her in her time of pain. Animals and things are sad when they are lost but
Pastor Jack and Cole make it clear to Penny that other things are more dear, such as her life.
Cole and Penny are drawn together in this time of need and Penny remembers the
importance of Walking His Path.
