Broad avenues lined with rectilinear tombs boasting fine facades of dressed stone… when I came inside; the dwellings had compartments carved with elegant precision from the native rock. Elegant and self-possessed entities smiled from frescoes and sarcophagus lids; re-enacting pleasures of their privileged existence.
At times, I sensed movement around me but, as soon I would turn my full attention on its direction; it would dissipate back into the unknown.

Leaving behind the cemetery above, I continued advancing nearby the mysterious settlement. Not long after, I got confronted with a wide and very long subterranean lake, with an astoundingly tidal movement.
Hanging on the rock above, seeming brighter than real stars, countless fluorescent plankton colonies glowed white and in that way, the water gained an azure spectral tone.
It was an incredible, magnificent sight. Further on, pale vapor enveloping the horizon, concealed the real extent of the waterway.
The beauty of that place, rivaled the misfortune of my discontentment; possibly I would have to proceed swimming...!? I thought better not, as I searched about for some type of buoyancy means.
