I love BJ’s art – I met him a few decades ago and ended up buying everything he drew. I enjoyed talking with him about his experiences with transvestism in the 1950s and 60s. In ‘real life’ he was very accomplished and had transvestite friends all across the USA and around the world at a time when cross-dressing was an illegal ‘masquerade’ in most of the United States. He generously shared his photos experiences and his passing was a great loss. Prissy, wrote on her web page:
Dear Readers,
You will be saddened to learn of the recent death of Barbara Jean, the renowned creator of some of the most famed and adored creations in forced feminization cartoon drawing. Affectionately referred to as ‘BJ’, he was producing sissy art forty years ago, always erotic, never unpleasant, and cross-dressing artists owe him a debt of inspiration. What he produced with his genius will live on in our affections.
