"Tintin and the Red Sea Sharks" is the 19th comics volume of The Adventures of Tintin, the comics series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. The story was initially serialised weekly in Belgium's Tintin Comics magazine from October 1956 to January 1958 before being published in a collected volume by Casterman Magazine in 1958. The narrative follows the young reporter Tintin, his dog Snowy, and his friend Captain Haddock as they travel to the (fictional) Middle Eastern kingdom of Khemed with the intention of aiding the Emir Ben Khalish Ezab in regaining control after a coup d'état by his enemies, who are financed by slave traders (The French: Coke en stock).
The Red Sea Sharks is about the nation of Khemed, ruled by Emir Mohammed ben Kalish Ezab being taken over by Bab El Ehr and need to hide abroad. The Emir sent his son prince Abdullah to Marlinspike Hall all with a couple of the Emir's men. Captain Haddock does not like Abdullah so he and Tintin set of to find the Emir in Wadesdah, but when they reach the destination, the custom there does not allow them to visit. Tintin was taken back to the plane, where a time bomb was hidden. but luckily there was a fire during the trip and they landed safely. After everyone was out, the bomb exploded and nobody was hurt. The Captain and Tintin walk to Wadesdah where they can hardly see through the patrol in the city. There they found Tintin's old friend: Oliveira de Figueira who helped Tintin to get to the Emir. They sneak out of the city again and rode to a lost city where they found the Emir. The Emir offered them a boat to go to Meeca and find the man Di Gorgonzola who is later revealed to be Rastapopoulos. On their way a squad of mosquito planes attack them. Tintin shot down one of the mosquitos and they made a raft and rescued the pilot who was shot down from his mosquito, his name was Piotr Skut and he befriended Tintin after he saved him. They would also meet him again in 'Tintin and the Flight 714' comics series.

Tintin character:
Just as Alfred Hitchcock made furtive appearances in his films, Hergé couldn’t resist joining in the adventures of his characters. He discreetly drew himself into the scenery, appearing as a reporter dutifully taking notes when Tintin embarks for the Congo, or interviewing a local in front of the gates to Marlinspike Hall, in hope of gaining the latest on the story of the broken glass in The Calculus Affair. In Hergé’s universe, it’s hard to find a character that has been created from scratch: most were inspired by real people who were either close to the author in some way, historical figures or celebrities at the time.
Tintin is neither a surname nor a first name, Tintin is created from Hergé's subconscious desire to be perfect, to be a hero. The hero who everyone between 7 and 77 years old wants to be, or become while reading the Adventures of Tintin Comics.
Tintin is created by his father Georges Remi, Hergé, the world renowned Belgian cartoonist. This spiritual heir is more than an adopted child! Hergé has stressed the fact that he raised Tintin, protected him, fed him just like a father would (Numa Sadoul, Tintin et moi, Casterman, p. 66) Over the years and in the course of the Adventures, Tintin surrounds himself with friends who became part his family so to speak.
Among his friends, Snowy comes first. Admittedly he is a dog, but he is above all, the faithful friend of Tintin with a generous spirit. Secondly, Tchang appears in the family circle and becomes a lifelong friend of Tintin and almost a brother. Thirdly, Captain Haddock was to sacrifice his own life for Tintin
