The President's Legacy

Neurosurgeon Dr. Alex Dupree has received a letter from a lawyer in New Orleans telling her that her mother has been murdered. She has not seen her mother since she was fifteen years old and was sent away to live in California. She does not remember the night she was sent away but does remember her mother telling her that it would be very dangerous for her to ever come back to New Orleans.
Reluctantly she makes the journey only to find she is the illegitimate daughter of the former President of the United States. A political conspiracy sends her on a journey filled with murder, love and heartbreak.
