The Cost of Love

Xea Michele Thomas has been under her parent’s thumb all her life. An exuberant, down to earth, entrepreneur, Xea fell in love with Mitchell Hughes while volunteering at the YMCA. Just celebrating their one year anniversary, Xea has had enough of her parent’s constant ploys to keep them apart. To top it all off, her father makes his moves from his four by four prison cell. Judging by the fact that he’s now a convicted felon, Xea doesn’t feel he has any room to talk about Mitch’s past. And if that isn’t bad enough, Xea’s mother Lisa is on her father’s side.

In this new adult urban romance, Xea goes to the extreme to prove her love to Mitch and her parents. She reminds Mitch that she will fight for their love at all cost. Just when she thinks her parents are giving her some breathing room, a surprise visitor from Xea’s past shows up causing Mitch to realize Xea may be the one that can’t be trusted. But more importantly, what Xea finds out about Mitch’s high school girlfriend while he was attending school in Texas may have her realizing that her parents were right after all. And when Xea has the upper hand after finding out a secret that could hurt her father, will she take the high road and consider how much this could hurt him, or will she use it to her advantage without considering the other person involved?
