The police on the other hand weren’t really having the time of their lives. They were scrutinizing and screening over a thousand kids playing in the park. And to make their work much easier, they had someone at the command center who was monitoring the chips in their shoes to make sure they were veering far from the park.

“And how are things going on Morales?”
“Well everything seems to be going on according to plan sir… wait a minute. There is one kid veering away from the park. He seems to be in company of an adult. Sir, I think we have our kidnapper!!”

“ALL COMMAND STATIONS! I REPEAT, ALL COMMAND STATIONS, CONVERGE ON THE EASTERN WING OF THE PARK. I BELIEVE WE HAVE OUR KIDNAPPER! NOW!!!”

All the cops abandoned their posts and rushed towards the eastern wing of the park with their guns all in position. The kids were told over the microphones to gather together in the middle of the park with the help of their parents to avoid being in the line of fire, just in case anything popped up.

The response was super fast. But apparently not fast enough to nub the kidnapper. All the police were able to find was a shoe that had the chip. But the kid as well as the kidnapper were gone. It was as though they had just vanished into thin air.

“Sir, its Detective Gonzalez… operation sweep has been compromised. I repeat, operation sweep has been compromised. I’m sorry sir.”
