The Witching Hour

Should two mortals give up their firstborn to different spell casters and go on to conceive a child, they who struck it first honor the deal. In the event that the deals where sealed in the same moment, the child must be taken in and raised under both spell casters as if it were their own.
        This is what happened to the witches, Lucinda and Veronica, when they came to collect on their deals. While neither planned on this turn of events, it would ultimately define them.
        When Zephyr was seven, he began casting spells. At ten years old, he invited several brownies into the house while his mothers were away on business. When he was fifteen, he decided to collect on deal Lucinda had been complaining about for nearly a week, nearly getting them killed.        However, in his seventeenth year, Zephyr would make a mistake they would all come to regret. His mortal emotion mixed with his magic influence would fail him in the end.
