The boy’s eyes widened as he stepped closer, and Damion could feel the edge of fear there before he seemed to gather himself. The desperation was obvious as he shifted forward, his light frame clearly struggling in the cold evening. His eyes raised slowly, big against his thin face as he looked back at Damion.


“Please…I’ll do anything for a bit of food…some shelter for the night…please, sir…”
