This book is directed to my dear friends who wish to be innovators and achievers in their career in the world of sales. It contains a brief extract of my previous professional experience. I began my career in the pubic sector as a writing clerk at the procurement and contract management department. In the private sector, I started out as a salesman for a company that specializes in the products and services of mobile phones. I gradually progressed to the following positions:
o Branch supervisor
o Sales Support Specialist
o Commercial Operations Specialist (Customers)
o Senior Quality Assurance Specialist
o Sales Director of the Eastern Province
o Commercial Operations Specialist (Corporate)
o Marketing and Development Consultant for the Development of Landline Packages and Fiber Optics
o Projects Manager
In all the above, one of my main duties - besides managing projects, contributing to the development of new companies in the Saudi market, and innovating and developing products and services – was to honorably and proudly train salespeople across various career-levels, including salespersons, supervisors, and regional managers in both the individual sales sector as well as the corporate and business sales sector.
I have never been more proud of anyone as much as I have been with the salesmen, who are sometimes referred to as ‘sales representatives’ or ‘sales consultants’, whom I had the honor and privilege of teaching. I truly thank them for all I have learned from their comments and questions during training sessions that I have prepared to guide them in their initial steps in the private sector and in the world of sales.
