In 1963 the city of Perth, Australia was gripped in fear as the " Night Caller " was randomly killing people in their sleep. His bizarre fetishes and violent rituals terrified women as police were unable to capture one of the most notorious serial killers in Australian history. After an exhaustive investigation that included the finger printing of more than 30,000 men, investigators finally were able to catch the break they desperately had been seeking when the rifle the Night Caller had used to kill with was discovered hidden on a mountain road among the shrubs. For 17 days police would hide waiting for the killer to claim his prize.

By the time he was apprehended, Eric Edgar Cooke would confess to murdering 8 people and seriously injured another 22 including numerous occurrences of running over young women as they walked along the road side.
