Emi Canon had it all figured out—seal from her mother's live-in boyfriend, Kyle, and hitchhike her way to Flordia. It's quite a daydream for a girl from Carrick, Pennsylvania, someone down on her luck with no prospects to think of. Trouble is, Emi's only 17; and it doesn't take long for her to get picked up and thrown in the slammer. Who comes to rescue her but the very person she stole from, Kyle Weissmander.
