The forest was as quiet as a graveyard, save for the crickets that were chipping and a couple of insomniac squirrels that were skulking all over the place. The ghostly wind blew across the silence, picking up some of the dried leaves and depositing them just above the rocks that marked the border between the forest and the posh neighborhood of Henry’s Ave. At one point, it seemed as though something was moving from the ground just a couple of feet above the forest line.
