Description ▲
This work is dedicated to the problem of the separation and the synthesis of the opposites. The Antiquity, through the alchemists, began to wake up for a new era but, everything that degenerates, gives way to a new phase of regeneration. The unconscious is omnipresent and all-powerful and the alchemists foresaw that some phenomena were beyond the laws of space and time and so they could understand that in the unconscious, the events of the past, present and future are all together, side by side. The unconscious contents can manifest through special phenomena that Jung called 'meaningful coincidences'. The alchemical work, unlike the religions, leads the individual man to commit his whole being, with all that it contains of good and bad, for to achieve the unity of the psyche. It is a work of reconciliation between enemy oppositions. Only with the human reason, we ought not venture us to value the metaphysical themes because they are incommensurable and often refer to very intimate experiences that escape to any protocols of a scientific examination. In the psychological domain, these experiences depend on the moral capabilities of each one, in which we cannot trust a lot. «The wise man that is not heard is regarded as an idiot, and a fool who presents himself as the first and most eloquent herald of the general insanity, is taken by a prophet and a guide (…). Fortunately, often the reverse is also true, otherwise mankind would have succumbed long ago to the own stupidity. Therefore, if one who, by intellectual sterility, is stigmatized with the name of "mental patient", if he does not transmit "truth", it is not for being devoid of personality, but because he does not find consensus. From the moment where is produced an echo, then it runs the rumor "truthful". In the metaphysical realm what is true is what has credit, and that’s why the metaphysical claims, are always linked to an unusual desire of to be recognized and appreciated, because the esteem is their only criterion of truth, which makes them remain, or collapse. (...) » (Jung, 1982, § 438-439) Man is a great mystery because his unconscious is totally dark and irrational. The individual needs know himself, in his wholeness for not be lost in the winding paths of the dangerous world in which we live. In my essays, I seek to give a faint idea of how the human being works, in the abyssal depths of his soul.
