To begin with, it’s not too much of a spoiler to state that nobody dies in this story. This story is about the core of all wet Sci-Fi dreams. The first real encounter of a third kind. Aliens! Yes! And we’ve got a launch date! Less than seven years away. At least for the beginning of this story. But I hope you’re not expecting some freak martians. The aliens look like us. Indeed they are Homo sapiens, with almost identical DNA, even if they are slightly “enhanced” versions of us. Much because of long since applied advances mainly in science, medicine, materials and technology in general. But also because they have started their evolution, in a broad sense, way earlier than us. So when will they arrive, knocking on our door? Well, no trumpets here, because they arrived thousands of years before us. They have come and gone over the years, being far too busy to occupy themselves continuously only with us earthlings. It’s up to us to think we’re unique and one of a kind. They know that this doesn’t apply. There’s an infinite number of inhabitable solar systems out there. But how could we know? Probability calculations and smart minds have deducted that there is a good chance we’re not alone. The aliens, being aliens (!), know we’re not alone. But to tell us the truth would be like revealing the ultimate truth about what we call God. Such a thing would need some preparation. Some planning ahead. To avoid confusion and chaos and accidental unleashing of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. Not to mention upsetting the stock markets and interfering with ongoing current wars, imminent births and divorce proceedings. But the moment is approaching. The final preparations are made right now and where this story starts, in the beginning of the next decade, the year after the Soccer World Cup of 2022 incidentally, the day of the kick-off (that of the aliens’) is prepared more concretely by building up networks of earthlings at various positions. In their CV the aliens would be able to list endeavors such as assisting the Egyptians to build the pyramids and help Jesus walk on water (but only that one miracle!). In this volume we will be instructed how to fight Ebola (and the common cold) and being offered their alternative take on solving the Islamic State issue. Not bad! Should impress most readers. But to get it right, and who knows if you get more than one go at it, they stick to their mentality of “taking it easy” and “one thing at a time”, where most of us earthlings would get too excited and press on to accelerate into the brave new world that the aliens seem to have the keys to. But they are not only smart, they’re also extremely patient and sort of wise. They know our faults and tendencies. Yes, they have the perspective on us that we lack. From the outside looking in. Or down. They know the mechanics of war and they know what we’ve been missing in that area. They come in peace, and they want to continue that way, and hopefully spread the concept of peace and understanding to us all. We seem to hopelessly have ignored how to walk the wise talk of guys like Gandhi and most other religious icons, like Jesus, Mohammad and Buddha to name a few. And some of those Indian gods with various numbers of arms and legs…
So, when reading this book, with its almost unbearably gently paced beginning, keep in mind their top mantras: “Take it easy!” and “Only one step at a time!”, and you’ll be fine.
p.s. This story was originally intended to be a trilogy, but to the benefit of the reader, no waiting and including a substantial cash saving with this 3-in-1 packaging, the three parts are baked into one volume. One or two otherwise tend to get lost when moving or lending out part two to somebody you can’t remember, as I guess you may have experienced yourself. In case it takes your breath away, just do it Alpha style! Just take it easy and only a piece at a time! It’s not five easy pieces, just one big chunk! Don’t over dig
