Lights And Shadows

By the mid-90's, the AIDS pandemic had infected or affected most of American society. In San Francisco, it was almost impossible to meet someone that hadn't either contracted the virus or known someone that did. This is a story about a group of friends in the middle of the worst years of a devastating health crisis.
How does a person survive being in the middle of a battlefield such as this? How does an individual go on with his or her daily life? Where does someone find things to still laugh about? Is falling in love an option when staying above water is the daily challenge? And how do people support one another in a worse case scenario?
This is about a group of friends that do that and more. Sharing laughs, hugs, tears, drag, sex, activism, more sex, anger and hurt. Not everyone is able to come out alive but everyone that does walk through the lights and shadows along the path, come out stronger for it all.
