: It is the ordering of events, the conflict motives, themes, and resolutions. It is the storyline — the series of events which moves the story from its beginning, turning point and conflict resolution. When she goes to the police station to report, she is apprehended as a suspect. Sophie finds herself on the wrong side of the law when she is framed as the suspect abductor of her boyfriend. She is in police cells and has to try to unravel the mystery of the disappearance of her boyfriend, Adamson. The emphasis in this thriller is typically on plot – action, pace, movement and not much on character. Tension and conflict begin from the very first line and paragraph when Adamson is abducted. If not the actual inciting incident, the first page creates a hook for the reader and set the genre in their mind. Sophie has to wage war against the family of Adamson, who treat her as a suspect. She comes from a clan that is an antagonist to her own. But who is the villain? Is it the hostile policewoman who frames her and is a kinsman of Adamson who apprehends her or is it, Mariana, her classmate? The villain drives the story where the point of view is often shared by the villain and the hero, alternating between scenes.
