Description

Detective Ryker Johnson of the Miami Homicide is working on a case with his team. Gang members are being murdered, underground fights are on the rise. Counterfeit money is becoming more and more popular and drugs are being sold in larger quantities. Ryker is dealing with two major gangs in Miami. The Demon Six and Crimson Vipers are the two most dangerous gangs in the state. After members from both gangs are murdered, the Homicide Team is trying to figure out if it's a rival thing or something more.
When Ryker has time to enjoy life outside of work, he usually spends it with his best friend Sydney. He's never been in a relationship and doesn't want one. Ryker has seen with his own eyes what life can do to you if you lose the ones you love and hold in your heart. He makes sure not to get too close to another man. Ryker will continue with the one-night stands and be alone for the rest of his life rather than have his heart ripped in two. He thought that until Tate Warren stormed into his life like a hurricane. Ryker tried with all of his might to keep his heart untamed. But when Tate looked at him with those hazel eyes, Ryker knew his heart might be tamed after all.
Tate Warren has been on his own since he left the foster care system at eighteen years old. He struggled at first to make a life of his own. He worked hard staying to himself, focusing on the smaller things to get by. Tate started working in a clothing store for Jase Adams. A little spit fire of a man that was full of life. Not long after he started working for Jase, they became close. Jase introduced him to his family that one day Tate would become a part of. In that family Tate met a man that turned his world upside down and inside out. Ryker was a man that Tate had only dreamed of meeting. His long black hair, emerald green eyes and a body that would bring any man to his knees, made Tate consider letting that wall down that he had built to protect his heart and soul. Ryker doesn't know it yet, but Tate was going to try everything in his power to have this man for life. After something tragic happens to Jase, Tate and Ryker spend time together and that's when Tate makes his move, only to be shot down.
Will Ryker let Tate into his life and tame his heart or will he keep it untamed and forever be alone? Will Tate have the strength to fight for who he wants or will he walk away deciding that it's better to be by himself than live a life of heartache?
