COMPARATIVE STUDY OF BISECTION, NEWTON-RAPHSON AND SECANT METHODS IN SOLVING POLYNOMIAL EQUATIONS: Obtaining the rate of convergence

The numerical techniques of root-finding methods used for this analysis are Bisection method, Newton-Raphson method and Secant method. It was observed using MATLAB compiler (MATLAB R2010a) that Bisection method converges slower among the three methods selected and Newton-Raphson method is the most effective method. Based on this project, the order of convergence is as follows: Bisection method, Secant method and Newton-Raphson method.
