Practical Immortality: Lamentations

The cure for death released a whirlwind of global collapse, causing humanity to tare itself apart. The aftermath gave rise to one final colonization, the Bastion of Civilization: Babylon. Humanity is believed to be extinct; only the immortal, tainted by greed and apathy remain. Stagnating for millennia, the city of immortals has finally become restless. Reclaiming their humanity by becoming mortal, a group of purists led by Abraham Mason, return to a simpler life outside of the inhospitable city of Babylon. But life is not as simple as it first was. Sheol's Hand, a zealous cult believing immortals should be forced to become human again, war within the city to overthrow the controlling Ministry of Affairs. With change inevitable, and the resurgence of death a certain reality, the future of the city and the remnant of humanity is left unknown. Who will claim Babylon?
